Sunbeams and preschool

So Peter started preschool ans Sunbeams this month. I totally forgot to take a picture of him on his first day. Here he is after church on Sunday. He totally loves any social interaction he can get. Our biggest issue is getting him to leave anywhere where his firends are. Tonight we went to McDonalds and Peter made a friend (because that is what he does) and he was crushed to leave his friend. Here is our snowman from the storm the other day.

a sad day

I have gone black for the sad loss. One announcer said, "they just got to the game one year early." Yeah, still sad.

Breaking News

Just a reminder that tonight is the College Football Championship at 8pm! Last night David was reading and told me that 8 of the last 9 coaches that won the national championship are from Ohio, played in Ohio, or coached in Ohio. Yeah, even Pete Carol, and Les Miles. I think that is enough to give Ohio an extra point. GO BUCKS!

Entropy Loving

So here is Abby in her new Buckeye cheer leading outfit. It is hard to say who likes it the most.

I took this picture in keeping with my new philosophy about my entrophillic children. O.K. I made the word up, but they love disaster. Abby has been quite creative and methodical in her methods of destruction. I have decided to take pictures before I punish her, just in case I will think it is funny later. Pictured above is Abby with mascara on her face. She got into while I was in the shower. She was actually quite annoyed that I took her picture. I am sure I will have enough pictures to create a destructive Abby album soon. Since I have had this idea there has already been an incident to gross to capture on film. It actually involved Peter and some true bare back toy horse riding. Toddlers can be truly disgusting.

Happy New Year!

People often ask us where we will move when we are done. My answer to this question ends up being complicated, and I really don't like when answers to casual, polite, chit-chat questions turn into essay answers (e.g. are they twins? where are you from? what do you do? What was your degree in?). Anyway... We are well on our way to a concise answer to the "where are you going" question. It involves a spread sheet (David is quite an excel expert). So here is the current breakdown:

Denver, CO 26 points
Columbus, OH 24
Boise, ID 22
Portland, OR 21
Richmond, VA 21
Chapel Hill, NC 21
Salt Lake City, UT 21
Seattle, WA 19
Baltimore, MD 19
Chicago, IL 18
Cincinnati, OH 16
San Diego, CA 14
Connecticut 11

Points were assigned based on a cost of living index, housing prices, property, sales, and income taxation, schools , cultural opportunities, access to airports, a temple, a major university, ski resorts, large bodies of water, political affiliation (analyzed, but no points assigned), weather, presence or travel time to family and friends, and an average of our personal rankings. We are still gathering data about crime, oral surgeons per capita, and other. It is all very scientific. We are both surprised by Denver, which was an after thought.

We are currently accepting data if you have any to share.
